Intro
HelpDesk Express has been an in-house customer support webapp for many years now. However, the older version was no long up to the standards of modern day design. Additionally, we wanted to showcase that it was possible to create beautiful, clean, dynamic and intuitive web applications using the DataFlex Webapp framework.
Showcase
In-line list expansion was a new concept for DataFlex and the technology is currently being built to support it. It offers data-dense designs while keeping a clear overview of a thread.
Ticket overview list, including a new custom control for DataFlex: the from-to date picker. Small details like that add up and improve the UX.
A drag & drop customisable dashboard, another new feature coming to the DataFlex framework.
With UX design details are everything. For instance, clearly indicating that there are no replies in a thread makes sure there is no confusing for the user about whether or not the applications is working.
Another new control: the sliding to-do list, making adapting your lists a breeze.
